Poor Natalee has been running a fever for 3 days. I took her to go see the doctor and her oxygen concentration was 85%. The doctor was concerned and wanted us to take her to the emergency room. After blood work and nasal swabs they found out she had RSV.
Our poor baby was in the hospital getting breathing treatments and oxygen for five days. She went in on St. Patrick's day March 17, so we didn't get to do our usually treasure hunt with the leprechaun this year. The girls didn't even ask about it since we were all consumed with Natalee's health.
It was miserable for her not to be able to be with her sisters and to be tied down with an oxygen tube.
But after 4 days Kenadee was able to come and visit and play blocks with her. This sure lifted her spirits. Thanks Kenadee for being such a good big sister. Later that day Nana, Grandpa, and Brylee were able to come and visit too.
Brit and I took turns sleeping in the hospital with her. It was definitely hard for all of us not to be in our own home and be all together.
After 5 days she was discharged and we came home to this awesome sign! Thanks to our good friends the Ipson family it was great to have this sign to welcome us home. So glad our Natalee is feeling better, and greatful for modern medicine!
