Kenadee's Final Day of School

Kenadee had her last day of her 1st grade class at Kingman Academy Of Learning. Next week is Spring Break and we will be moving that weekend following her school break. She had an amazing day and she was spoiled by her classmates and her teacher. She got to be the special helper of the day. Kenadee's class has been reading the children's book Flat Stanley. Each student made a Flat Stanley and mailed it to someone that took him around to interesting places and took pictures with him. Kenadee didn't want to make a boy so she made a Flat Ella (named by Kenadee) accessorised with earrings and a necklace. Kenadee sent her Flat Ella to her Nana that lives in Prescott. After her presentation there were many students that had questions about Flat Ella's adventures. You can see Flat Ella standing on the chair behind Kenadee.

Since her last day was on St. Patrick's Day I made all her classmates rainbow cupcakes.

Rainbow cupcakes is a long process which are made with batter all the colors of the rainbow. It is a tedious process making layers of different colored batter in a cupcake liner.
The girls had a great time mixing up the batter. And oops, there goes the batter all over Brylee's shirt. That sure didn't take long to make a mess...our little mess maker!

The kids were so excited when I entered the classroom with these. Some of the kids actually thought that was real gold on the top of the cupcakes.

After the kids enjoyed their cupcakes Mrs. Schwab had Kenadee sit in front of the classroom to tell the students all about her new school and new house. After the kids listened to Kenadee they had lots of important questions such as, "Will you have a swimming pool at your new house?","Will you have to wear uniforms at your new school?" and one kids even asked "How many bathrooms does your new house have". Kids say the darnest things!
After all the questions were answered they passed the microphone around so they can tell Kenadee anything they wanted such as "I will miss you." and "Please come back to visit me." It was really cute.
You wouldn't know it but Kenadee is right in the middle of all the kids. They about tackled her giving her hugs.

After regrouping Mrs. Schwab thought it would be much easier if she lined up the kids to give Kenadee a hug one student at a time.

Kenadee is sure going to miss all her good friends she made in her 1st grade class.
Kenadee will really miss her teacher Mrs. Schwab. She is so sweet and Kenadee had nothing but great things to say about her. Mrs. Schwab said Kenadee was such a joy to have in her class and she is really going to miss her. During my visit Mrs. Schwab told me about many of the funny things Kenadee has done and said in her class. She told me she keeps a book of funny things her students have said and Kenadee has quite a lot of quotes in her book.
Here is Kenadee's 1st grade class. I have to mention why Kenadee is the only one in a red shirt. I went to work this morning before the kids even got out of bed. So it was left up to Brit to dress the girls and today the students were suppose to wear their "Thursday" (gray) shirt. Well like many men Brit didn't pay attention to all the details. So he dressed her and did her hair today and they had class pictures today. I am pretty stoked he at least put a headband in her hair. Well at least she stands out on her special day. Kenadee has made so many great friends in her class and school and has learned so much here at Kingman Academy Of Learning. Thanks to all the amazing teachers who do such an amazing job with all the children. She will truly miss you all!
