Valentines Day preparations are in full swing at our house. Second to Christmas, Valentines Day is my second favorite holiday to decorate and bake for. Here are a few decorations around our house.
Kenadee wanted some decorations for her bedroom so the kids made these Valentine hearts with yarn, cookie cutters, and glue made from cornstarch.
Brylee got in on the action too. She is concentrating really hard, gotta love the tongue action going on here! She is trying to wrap the yarn around her thumb.

Of course she had to have the tutu on. This girl is always smiling! She is our Smiley
Brylee!

Kenadee was such a trooper since right after we started the craft she started throwing up. I put her in the bath and right after she got out she wanted to finish her hearts. Love this girl!

We had to let the hearts dry over night.

We knew we had to hang the hearts high enough so
Brylee wouldn't get to them.

So we hung them up in
Kenadee's door way. So every time so goes through her door she is reminded of how much she is loved!

The girls decorated the windows with Valentine hearts.
Brylee wasn't very particular in her placement of the hearts. She would hang them anywhere and which ever way.
Kenadee put more thought into her placement. Very conformed and organized! So much like her mother...it is SO sad!

Ta
dah! Windows decorated with love!
I made a few wreaths to hang around the house. I made this one out of felt and hung on our front door.

And made this one out of cupcake liners and hung it in on our mirror in our dinning room. A group of moms got together one night and make these wreaths in a few hours. It was nice getting together with friends and having a crafting girls night.

We even got a little baking in.
Kenadee went though a few days of wearing these 3D glasses around the house and believed that she couldn't see very well without them. Good thing that lasted only a few days.

We baked some peanut butter cookies with
chocolate centered hearts. Yummy!

These are a few things that we've been up to preparing for Valentines Day.
