Brylee Lynn Haws born
Cinco de Mayo 2009. Weighing in at 6 lbs 8 oz. and 19 inches long.
Brylee was scheduled to be born on May 6
th (C-section) but she just couldn't wait. She came a day early as Summer started to have contractions at 4:00 in the morning.

Summer called me at 4:30 a.m. and said she might be going into the hospital, I was still in
Kingman, expecting to work on Tuesday, but those plans quickly changed. I left as soon as I could and arrived in Flagstaff just before 7:30 and the baby was already here, she was born at 6:53 am. Good thing Summer's Mom was there to get her to the hospital. Summer was going to be going in for a C-section and she was having such hard contractions and the nurses were taking there time getting her medication to slow down her contractions that she was is severe pain. Summer's mom was getting upset with them that she said she was about ready to knock them out, literally.

Doesn't Summer look beautiful, especially after having gone through all that she did just two days before. I appreciate all that she does for our family, she is truly the
rock of our family.

This is
Brylee right after birth. What a beautiful, delicate little girl. Like
Kenadee she was able to cry on her own, but the only time that she cried was right after birth, during her first bath, when she's hungry and when we wipe her bottom with a cold wipe during diaper changes. (And it's such a sweet little cry too.) The C-section went smoothly and
Brylee was perfectly healthy. All the nurses and the pediatrician commented on how much hair and what a beautiful baby she was.

The hospital had
restricitions that no children under 18 could come in the hospital because it was flu season.
Kenadee was so bummed and she wouldn't take no for an answer. She begged her Nana and me to let her see her new little sister. We snuck her up to a courtyard just outside our room and she was able to see her baby sister through the window. After seeing her little sister she would cry because she wasn't able to hold little
Brylee. We felt so bad for her. This is grandpa Steve (Summer's Dad) holding
Brylee.

After 3 long and hard days of only seeing baby
Brylee through the window,
Kenadee was finally able to hold her little sister. She was so excited when she heard the car drive up she was out the door and wanted to hold her right away. She is such a good big sister always asking to hold her, feed her, help with diaper changes, and whatever else she can do to help.

This is one proud big sister!
Kenadee and
Brylee had matching shirts. It was hard to keep this shirt away from
Kenadee until
Brylee came home.

Here is little sister. The matching outfit and the first outfit that
Brylee ever wore. She is such a sweet little angel.

This is the first cousin visiting. Nick and Maria visited us and this is their 2 month old little girl Allie. Isn't it amazing how fast the
little ones grow. Allie almost weighed the same exact amount that
Brylee did and after just two months she is almost double in size and weight. We appreciate all friends and family that are always willing to visit and help us.
Kenadee just can't get enough of her little sister. Everyone who has held a little baby recently knows how we just want to squeeze the babies as close as we can (sometimes we have to stop
Kendaee from squeezing too hard). We sure have a lot of cute girls in our families. All of the Brit's Nieces (8) and nephew (1) and Summer's Nieces (3) along with
Kenadee and
Brylee must have some good genes because they are cuties. We are so excited to welcome
Brylee into our family, it's been a long wait, but definitely worth it!
