Kenadee's 1st Week

Well we made it to Prescott. The move was a lot of work and I don't want to move for a long, LONG time. We are so excited that we will be getting the house we put a bid on after a long negotiation with the bank. But we finally agreed on a price and we will be moving into the house at the end of April or first part of May. When we moved to Prescott we were so excited to learn that Prescott had an exceptional school here that is ranked 21st in Arizona out of over 1,000 elementary schools. Kenadee was more excited to know that this school didn't have uniforms like her previous school in Kingman. Her second day at her new school they put on their 50 Nifty United States program. Here are some of the students representing Hawaii by doing the a hula dance.

The program was 2 hours long and it was very well put together. They had fun props for each state that they covered. They had kids talk about interesting facts and historical events that occurred in each state.

Kenadee had only 1 day to learn the songs and actions. She did such an amazing job, we were so proud of her.

Kenadee had such a great time participating in the program. For her second week of school their spelling tests consists of 30 words (in Kigman each week they only had 10 spelling words) and she got 100%. Kenadee came home from school that day and said her teacher, Mrs. Rogers, was jumping up and down all the way back to her desk because she got 100%. On the Kenadee's third day of school her teacher came up to me and said, "Do you know what a treasure you brought us." She continued to say how much she adores Kenadee and that many of the students were fighting over who was going to be her friend. I think she will do well here at Franklin Phonetic Primary School and has already made many friends. Yes Mrs. Rogers, we do know what a treasure Kenadee is!
