Happy Valentines Day!

I love Valentines Day! It is a special day that I can show my family how much I love them. The thursday before Valentines Day Kenadee had a party at her preschool. Kenadee and I made these heart shaped Rice Krispie treats, drizzled them with chocolate, put them on sticks, and attached a card. I think the turned out pretty cute!
This is Kenadee's first year she knew how to fill out her Valentine cards. It took some time but she did it all by herself. Not bad for a four year old. Way to go Kenadee!

Kenadee having a Valentine picnic with her pink teddy bear. She is such a special girl and is always wanting to do nice things for other people or stuffed animals.

Giving all the kids a ride on the horse and even the new pink teddy bear.
Even though I was feeling a little under the weather and I usually go all out I surprised the family with a Valentine breakfast. I made some heart blueberry pancakes and surprised Kenadee with a box of chocolate and a pink teddy bear that she has been eyeballing at the store.

She was so excited to see she got the bear she wanted. She didn't even want to cut the heart pancake because it would mess up the heart. But that didn't last long when she saw mom and dad were eating their heart pancakes.

Marriage is the one of the best things in my life. When we openly and privately express our love for each other it only serves to strengthen our relationships. When I am actively thinking of ways to tell my husband how much I love him, it makes me love him more. I realize how happy he makes me and I appreciate everything about him. I see things and think, "How can I use that object to tell him I love him?" This makes me think of him all the time. It makes our marriage stronger and it makes us both happier. On Valentines Day I placed lots and lots of chocolate kisses right next to his bed. So when he got up in the morning he stepped on them unknowingly. I had a card right next to his bed that expressed my love and appreciation for him and to let him know that I "Kiss" the ground he walks on. That evening Brit took me to a lodge in the Hualapai mountains where they still have lots of snow and we had dinner there in the lodge. The view was so beautiful, we sat in a room that had two giant windows and we had a view of the mountains and the trees were all covered in snow. It was so beautiful! The dinner was good after sending the stake back twice because it was still too raw for my liking and then they compensated us a dessert and they ended up bringing us the wrong dessert. Brit and I couldn't help but laugh. I love you Brit and appreciate all you do for me and our family. You are truly my best friend and my one true love! Valentines Day ended up being such a great day for the Haws family!
